How often do you freak out when you read reports about how the tax payer's money is being exploited by the government officials for their own benefit.Well this citizen could take it no longer which is apparent in his letter to the Income Tax Department.
Dear Tax Collectors,
Enclosed you will find my this years tax return showing that I owe $3,407.00 in taxes. Please note the attached article from the Country Today newspaper, dated 12 November, wherein you will see the Department of Defense is paying $171.50 per hammer and our Space Research Organization has paid $600.00 per toilet seat.I am enclosing four (4) toilet seats (valued @ $2,400) and six (6) hammers valued @ $1,029), which I secured at Home Depot, bringing my total remittance to $3,429.00. Please apply the overpayment of $22.00 to the “Presidential Election Fund,” as noted on my return. You can do this inexpensively by sending them one ball point pen (see aforementioned article from Country Today newspaper detailing how Ministry for Education pays $22.00 each for every ball pen). One ball pen is enclosed for your convenience. It has been a pleasure to pay my tax bill this year, and I look forward to paying it again next year.Sincerely,
A Satisfied Taxpayer

Is this for real? Or was it your imagination? Whatever it is, it was witty. :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha, Really, This is a great idea, if it could be actually implemented. :D
ReplyDeleteWith the CWG extravaganza organised by the government this is what all of us would have to do. We can ask the OC for the price list of things like toilet paper :)
ReplyDeleteSend to Kalmadi. He is in exalted company as far as procurement of stuff at exorbitant prices go! It would cheer the beleaguered man :D
